“There are many little ways to enlarge your child’s world.
Love of books is the best of all.”
~Jacqueline Kennedy
The summer months offer an excellent opportunity to help your child develop a love for books and reading. We encourage each child to read at least fifteen minutes a day. For your convenience, we have provided links (below) to reading lists for over the summer. These lists are suggested selections, but you may wish to read other recommended books by the librarian. These books and many others are available at the Thomas Crane Public Library. Parents should review their child’s book selections to be sure that they meet the needs of their children. The example you set through encouragement and support of your child’s reading will go a long way towards meeting the high learning goals that we all share. Have a rewarding and exciting summer reading experience.
