Present: Ann Pegg, Katie Lynch, John Rogan, Ellen Wallace, Andrea Santoro, Lorie Hammerstrom, Ann Ryan, Paige Messner-Reilly, Kristin Kopp, Susanne O’Neil, Michelle Gott, Andree Jaehnig

1. Accept Minutes
-Amend Merrymount Apparel money raised to $600-$700
2. Old Business
-Handbook
· Posted on the Merrymount School PTO website by Mark Bentley
-Bookflix
· Letter to parents/colleagues with information about Bookflix
-Lego Robotics
· Susanne O’Neil would like to line up corporate sponsor
-Parking Signs
· Parking signs have not been put up recently, but people have continued to abstain from parking in the locations where the signs were previously located
· Parking in the middle of the staff parking lot by parents has become a problem
· Wait until basketball hoops are installed until clarifying acceptable parking locations
3. New Business
-PTO Update on Fundraising
· Holiday Extravaganza= $1,400
· Coupon books= $700
· Book Fair= $5,200; we receive 25%
· Trivia Night- Friday, February 10, 7:00-11:00 at Knights of Columbus
· Math-a-Thon- Week before February vacation through the week after February vacation
-Staff Technology Survey
· Lorie Hammerstrom, Ellen Wallace, Ann Pegg, John Rogan, and Corinne Sullivan worked on survey
· Lorie compiled the results and determined which teachers needed what pieces of technology
· Dick Vella assisted Lorie in documenting existing technology (IP address, serial numbers)
o Each teacher has at least 1 computer, some have more; Laptops= 3 good ones, plus the PTO’s
o Mobis= 6 teacher, 6 student; Clickers= 6 sets of 24; eInstruct board= 1
o LCD projectors= 8 in the building, some owned personally by teachers
§ Need for 9 more (approximately $800 each; Bulbs cost approximately $300 each)
o Best scenario is that these projectors will be set up and ready to use, possibly mounted; would need 18 mounts, approximately $75 each
o Every teacher has a printer, though there is a need for ink cartridges
o VHS= 11 teachers use them, 1 requested; DVD= all teachers use; CD players= all use
o ELMO= 3 teachers are interested($550 each); IPEVO costs significantly less ($70)= 2 in the school, 7 teachers interested
o Overhead projectors= 2 requests
o Speakers= 6 requests (approximately $100 each)
o Ethernet Cables= 6 requests
o *All prices are approximate and may be considerably more/less
· Whole package (projectors, mounts, speakers, etc.) would cost approximately $16,000
· Discussion about bringing this information to the city-wide PTO. Find out what QPS and the School Committee’s vision is for technology usage in the future
