Merrymount School Apparel
Hello Merrymount Families:
The Merrymount PTO is excited for the Fall 2011 line of Merrymount School apparel. This apparel will have the original Merrymount School logo on it.
When Kevin Haddigan was in the 5th grade at Merrymount School, the school had a drawing contest for the new logo. He drew a sailboat with a chain around it. His inspiration came from the anticipation of when he would finally be old enough to sail a turnabout sailboat.
Kevin’s drawing was selected for the new logo, but Ms. Green (a fifth grade teacher) asked if he could change one thing on it. She suggested substituting the rope from the drawing of another student for the chain on his. He agreed, the rope went around the sailboat, and the school logo was born. Kevin is now 42 and lives in Charleston, SC with his wife and three sons.
Please find a downloadable order form below so that you may order t-shirts and sweatshirts. Please print the form, fill it out, and have your child pass it in to their teacher. Available for purchase are short sleeved shirts with the full logo, long sleeved shirts with the logo on the left chest, crew neck sweatshirts and hooded sweatshirts. These items will be available in Youth and Adult sizes. Actual samples of these items are located in main entrance to the school and virtual samples are below. Other sizes may be available upon request.
We will be accepting orders for the apparel until September 30, 2011. We urge you to order now. Our plan is to conduct opportunities during the school year to order apparel.
